Shaping Smart Logistics – Adaptation and Changes of 2018 and Beyond

Digital transformation has dramatically redefined business over recent decades, reshaping how work gets done and setting the stage for new products, business models and markets. Emerging technologies such as autonomic platforms, machine intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital sensing and augmented reality, continue to offer businesses new opportunities and creative ways of solving problems. At the same time, they require businesses to evolve in new directions and develop innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities in order to remain competitive in an increasingly digitised global marketplace.

In 2016, the Electronic Trucking System (eCTS), a single IT platform, which aims to connect all container logistics companies was launched.
In 2017, the Transport Integrated Platform (TRIP) was launched, a technology giving rise to more efficiencies in the logistics chain, where data collected from depots, port authorities and freight forwarders are synchronised and shared among the relevant stackholders, bringing about a whole level of harmonisation in operation, minimising unproductive trips and delays.
How is Technology unfolding in 2018 and what is installed beyond?

The growth of the logistics sector is propelled by the booming middle class, enhanced physical and digital connectivity, and an expanding network of trade agreements in the region. With the revolutionizing use of the Internet of Things, predictive analytics, and blockchain, what are the things that have come to play and will become increasingly disruptive in the business and industry?
Join us at Links@SG – an exclusive tech conference to gain an analytic review and discussion of the currency of technology and exclusive insights to the upcoming technology applications and logistic developments that is shaping Singapore’s transportation transformation.
